About Mons Records
Thilo Berg founded the jazz music label „Mons Records“ in Trippstadt in 1991. He also worked as a music producer for Sony, BMG, Columbia and Universal.
Mons Records’ artist portfolio includes names such as Clark Terry, Jeff Hamilton, Tom Harrell, Ray Brown, Benny Green, Dado Moroni, Larry Fuller, Bobby Shew, Nancy King, Allan Harris, Carl Allen, Nicholas Payton, Bob Mintzer, Ben Wolfe, Greg Hutchinson, Metropole Orchestra, Dewey Redman, Ethan Iverson, Ralph Moore, Robert Hurst, Dee Daniels, Jiggs Whigham and many more.
In 1995, Mons Records was the most successful Indie label on American jazz radio stations (Gavin Report). Mons Records releases around ten productions a year. Music from Mons can be found on several film productions including “Double Jeopardy” with Tommy Lee Jones and Ashley Judd, and U.S. TV shows including “American Idol”.
