SPE started out in Graz in 2017, where we met while studying at the KUG Jazz Institute.
With roots in Brazil, Germany, Austria, and Sweden/Estonia, we’re a pretty good example that “multi-kulti” is alive and kicking.
Our different backgrounds also shape the way we sound. We grew up listening to everything from rock, classical, and metal to funk, Brazilian music, and jazz, and over time, all of that naturally found its way into our own band sound. For us, making music together is really about curiosity, trust, and just having a great time playing and being on the road.
In 2027, we will celebrate our tenth anniversary as a band. Along the way, we have had the pleasure of performing at festivals and clubs across Austria, Sweden, Germany, and the Czech Republic—and we look forward to bringing our music to many more places in the years to come.
