After decades of experience with classical and contemporary compositions, Maia began to explore jazz in greater depth in 2015. This was followed by projects including concerts in Côte d’Ivoire and Cameroon with African balafonists, a duo with Thomas Moeckel, free jazz improvisation with Diego Aguirre and various solo programmes.
Cate completed her master’s degree at the Jazzcampus in 2024 and works as a freelance musician in various projects, including her own project ASRA and the indie/folk band Lost in Lona.
The production is a fusion of pianoforte and synthesizers with original compositions and reinterpretations of other works.
